The Mugging
"Lemme tell you a story. It was like something out of a dream."
I was walkin down the street and I saw a girl
'Bout to get mugged, the thugs' plan was about to unfurl
I crossed the road to stop
Their criminality, despite not being a cop
Three of them at first, then there were eight
Seemed to me I seal'd my fate.
The girl backed to the wall, prepared to run
The thugs about to have their fun
With me. Little did they know
That I was the luckiest kid in the block, bro
Attacks came from all direction
My foot made a solid connection
To the face of one dude, then to another
Right in the solarplex, swear on my mother
They backed off, they all drew knives
Oh no, I thought, how can I contrive
A weapon to challenge their offense
Shotgun dropped from above, 'long with a box-- it's contents
A note. "good luck!" simply
Then I saw the gun was empty.
I had but one choice, to swing away!
What else could i do, okay?
Beat down four, two remain
One pointed a gun. It started to rain
And the girl hit him in the back with a cane
From an old man who was walking by
And I was face to face with the last guy.
He was twice my size! He charged me too
But I stopped him with an elbow, thrown straight and true
To his chin. The behemoth collapsed
In front of me and the girl. At last
The mugging was averted, for her
It was awesome for both of us, I concur!
To put the cherry on top, I was on a dare:
I did this all in my underwear.

I just know that poems generally rhyme so I had no idea where this was going, except that it had to end with the last line. Anyways, here it is, a poem written in 20 minutes on my iPhone!
